Description

The GM-302C is a cutting-edge MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) alcohol gas sensor designed for high-sensitivity ethanol vapor detection. Using MEMS processing, it constructs a micro-heating plate on a silicon substrate, combined with metal oxide semiconductor gas-sensitive materials that exhibit low conductivity in clean air. When exposed to ethanol, the sensor’s conductivity increases proportionally to the gas concentration, allowing simple circuit conversion of conductivity changes into output signals corresponding to ethanol levels.

Application

It is suitable for the ethanol vapor in the application and testing places of consumer electronic products such as mobile phones and computers; it is also suitable for the supervision of motor vehicle drivers and other risk workers after drinking.

The sensors don't have sleeping mode. It can be set in program if needed.

However, after transportation and storage, the environment conditions change, and the surface of the sensor absorbs moisture, mixed gas, pollution matters, etc. It is recommended that customers perform aging and calibration after sensors become stable according to the program and use occasions of the whole device.
