Description

The MPn-5 semiconductor propane sensor adopts a multi-layer thick-film manufacturing process. A heating electrode, measuring electrode and metal oxide semiconductor gas-sensitive layer are integrated on an Al2O3 ceramic substrate and encapsulated in a metal housing.

When propane is present in the ambient air, the conductivity of the sensing material changes with gas concentration. This conductivity change can be converted into an electrical output signal through a simple measurement circuit.

MPn-5 provides high sensitivity to C3H8, excellent stability and enhanced resistance to common interfering gases. The sensor has achieved UL 2075 certification and is designed for a service life of up to 10 years, supporting OEM manufacturers developing residential, commercial and industrial combustible gas detection products.

The sensors don't have sleeping mode. It can be set in program if needed.

The sensor has been fully tested (not calibrated) before leaving the factory, but the module will be calibrated before leaving the factory.

However, after transportation and storage, the environment conditions change, and the surface of the sensor absorbs moisture, mixed gas, pollution matters, etc. It is recommended that customers perform aging and calibration after sensors become stable according to the program and use occasions of the whole device.

15﹪-90﹪RH without condensation,greater or less than this range or long-term high temperature and high humidity will affect the life of the sensor.
